White, Nwanaga Earn USTFCCCA All-American Honors

New Orleans, La.—Tony White and Kelechi Nwanaga earned Second Team and First Team All-American honors by United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday. Both advanced to the NCAA Championships in the javelin last week, with White placing 16th and Nwanaga finishing fourth in Oregon.

Nwanaga was named First Team All-American after posting her best toss of 55.02m, breaking the UMBC school mark, which she previously set earlier this spring. She set the school and America East record at the America East Outdoor Championships in early May.

White finished 16th at the NCAA Championships with a throw of 65.71m. He won gold at the America East Championships in early May with a throw of 67.37m.
